That is possible but as former user of SL (2008-2010) and a current VR user it's going to be very hard to replicate that experience. Second Life was at least partially successful as it, for better or worse, allowed users the radical freedom to create "worlds within the SL environment" that were really interesting to visit and meet people. And that's putting it mildly.
