Museum Ventures Guild

The Museum Ventures Guild consists of an interdisciplinary team of students who conceptualize, design and prototype innovative products that transform museum and art gallery collections into digital experiences.
The Guild will involve top museum curators, educators and practitioners who help guide and inform student apprentices of leading advances in the rapidly evolving field of digital museum technologies and how these enhance visitor experiences, community outreach, education and research.

“Today digital technology is pervasive … its use, particularly by the world’s youth, is universal; its possibilities are vast; and everyone in our educational and cultural institutions is trying to figure out what to do with it all. It is mandatory that museums, libraries, and archives join with educational institutions in embracing it.” — G. Wayne Clough, Secretary of the Smithsonian Institution
