As much as I would like to dismiss Andreessen's screed (manifesto is too generous), it reveals both the state of mind and worldview of this self-referential techno-elite class. One aspect that a lot of commenters haven't highlighted in their reviews is Andreessen's references to the term "nature". If you look carefully in his text, nature is something to be "controlled", a "material problem", and especially "we also believe in overcoming nature". Seriously, WTF?
