RRCRC Seniors’ Creative AI Collective

• Feb-Mar 2026 — Logo and scene generations for Burning Passions Theatre new production “A Circle Complete”.
• January 2026 — We are kicking off the New Year with two projects: (1) a 2026 calendar and (2) logo and scene image generation for a new theatre production called “A Circle Complete” highlighting the challenges and joys of Ottawa seniors.
• October 2025 — Exciting News! iSisters Technology Mentoring is teaming up with our program to explore AI video storytelling.
• July 2025 — We are taking a break during the Summer months to re-charge and re-imagine new projects for September. Thanks to the wonderful effort of our youth intern (Eason), we prototyped an AI image colouring booklet (pictured below). The booklet form can be highly customizable, low-cost and printable in-house using our own printer!

• (February 2025 — in progress) New project with RRCRC Seniors. Illustrated storybook on universal themes that unite community.
• (February — April 2025) 7-week program featuring intergenerational engagement with local youth and seniors co-creating AI images for colouring activities. In partnership with 140 Den Haag. Supported by the Ontario Seniors Community Grants Program.

• (November 2024) The 2025 AI Art Calendar project is completed. The new calendar features a “light” version and what we termed a “dark” version! Our seniors decided that a “dark” version was a fun way to generate AI images that depict scenes that one would not think seniors would come up with.

Seniors AI Art Collective at the Rideau-Rockcliffe Community Resource Centre (Sept 2023)

All AI art images produced and displayed below are the outcomes of the Seniors AI Art pilot project at the Rideau-Rockcliffe Community Resource Centre (RRCRC). The program was designed to create a fun and playful group activity to stimulate imagination and creativity while addressing social isolation experienced by many seniors in our community.
